CARE + S

A Personal Note on “CARE+S”

When Bartos Architecture was founded, we were considering a “tag” that would describe a vision for the firm. From time to time, people would say, “Mark, the problem is that you care too much about things...” This might have been meant as a compliment or as a criticism —who knows?  In any case, as I thought about things, the terms “Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, Education" came to mind. Recently, we’ve added the “S” for “Service to the community” or “Sustainability”. These are the things that I seem to spend most of my time as an architect doing — and what seem to be most important for our school district clients — and what I wanted a firm of individuals working together to take on as core beliefs.

Our specialty is Public Work. We have made this decision consciously in order to spend our time in an endeavor that makes the world better. We work hard to develop relationships between our staff and our clients. We develop expertise in-house in areas such as legal issues, specifications, cost estimating, construction, and of course bidding requirements for public facilities.

Who We Are

We support local business. We support our local schools. We are not “big box” architects — we live close to work and we volunteer  in our community.
