Bartos Architecture suggested in 2009 to the Santa Rosa City School District that instead of simply adding an Observatory to their facility, that they include a Classroom, Planetarium and Geospatal Technology Classroom Laboratory in a new “Geospatal Technology Facility”As a result we Designed a new complex, successfully wrote a grant applicaton and applied for Career Technical Educaton Facilites funding. These actons resulted in a new high school campus science and geospatal center groundbreakingfnally being started on 2011, and completed for use in 2014.
